FOE team wins Best Paper Award in Canada & First Prize at Malaysia Design Competition
Our Faculty of Engineering (FOE) has marked two remarkable milestones recently in both nationally and internationally.
First, on 9th July 2017, a conference paper entitled "Teaching Older Adult to Use Gerontechnology Applications through Instruction Video: Human-Element Considerations" co-authored by FOE lectures, Mr. Cheong Soon Nyean and Mr. Yap Wen Jiun won the Best Paper Award of the 9th International Conference on Cross-Cultural Design, in the context of HCI International 2017 at Vancouver, Canada.
Secondly, the FOE team won the First Prize at the Innovate Malaysia Design Competition 2017 under the Intel technology track with a project entitles "loT-Enable Outdoor Smart Parking System for Smart Cities" on 17th July 2017. The team comprises of Mr. Cheong Soon Nyean and Mr. Yap Wen Jiun together with students, Mr. Ng Chin kit and Erfan haji Mohammad Hossein Memar.
