FOB Students Accomplish International Acclamation in the ICAEW SEA Business Challenge 2017
Our FOB students, Kazey Chong Kok Zhen, Debbie Goh Ern Hui,Madeleine Goh Wan Ning,Lim Yoong See, Leroy Gan Han Kheng and Wan Huey Yew celebrated their victory as they made Malaysia proud by winning the title of 'Most Agile Team Award 'in the ICAEW Southeast Asia Business Challenge 2017 on 19 May 2017. These ingenious presenters from Team Apex, Multimedia University (MMU) stood out at the Finals with 1O other universities from Singapore,Thailand, Myanmar,Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.
On 18 May 2017,MMU Team Apex performed top notch against 31 other teams from local Malaysian universities and was crowned the First Runner-Up in ICAEW Regional Business Challenge 2017- Malaysia Heats, representing Malaysia to contend at the Southeast Asia regional level competition. .They were awarded for their receptiveness and dexterity in tackling given tasks during the challenge. Debbie Goh Ern Hui and Elyn Kuan Vie Meng also bagged the title of "Best Speaker" during the ICAEW Regional Business Challenge 2017- Malaysia Heats.
The National Heats Business Challenge is a platform targeted at providing students with hands-on experience of actual world business matters whilst applying knowledge and commercial awareness. Conversely, the ICAEW Southeast Asia Business Challenge 2017 which occurred on 19 May 2017 in Kuala Lumpur is a yearly challenge that sets out to identify the next generation of business leaders besides being an initiative to grow the ICAEW talent pool. During the challenge,the teams had to analyse, recommend and present feasible solutions based on actual business case to impress a panel of reputable judges encompassing some of the most significant ICAEW members and guests from highly regarded and prominent global organisations.
The FOB students have made the MMU community beam with pride. This achievement at the ICAEW Regional Business Challenge 2017 will definitely add another feather to the cap for MMU as we remain a robust player in the higher education industry.
