MMU Startup Team Receives RM50,000 Grant in Higher Education Unileague
On 17th November 2017,MHD Louai Sarhan and Atikah Bt Mohd Zulkifle,students from Faculty of Management (FOM) who are also the Founders of Quick (,a startup under Multimedia University Startup Scheme (MMUSSJ, have received a grant of RM50,000 from Teraju for Higher Education Unileague from Dato' Seri Haji Idris bin Jusoh,the Minister of Higher Education (MOHE) in Pullman Hotel, Putrajaya.
The programme was organised by MOHE and MOF with the collaboration between Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (TERAJU) and Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC). Higher Education Unileague ,a programme to help the university students to kick start their business with the grant given. Some of the participants were in the idea stage,and some of them have already launched their business in market. 71 teams were selected for the Boot Camp Programme that was held from 13th October 2017 until 21st October 2017.At the end of the programme,only 10 teams were selected to receive the grant worth of RM50,000,which consisted students from public and private universities,polytechnic and community college.
QuickC is an application that connects the car rental suppliers and customers together in one platform. This idea is to help students to find any available car rental at any time. With the support of Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC), Quick( has spread its wings and achieved many things and the brand is recognized by other student in few universities.
