Mr. Ko Chuan Zhen obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Electrical, Class of 2008 from  Faculty of Engineering. He is now the Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Poh Tyng Huei also the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Plus Solar Systems Sdn Bhd & Leaf Energy Sdn Bhd. Going forward, over the next 1-2 years, Plus Solar’s expansion plans also include foraying into neighbouring countries such as Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam. The company is currently undertaking solar project development in Malaysia alone.

As of today, their company has continuously received numerous awards and recognitions namely The Star Outstanding Business Award 2015, SME Green Excellent Award 2016, Most Promising Business Award 2017 and the most recent was Gold Awards Winner of OSH Management in Solar Photovoltaic Engineering, Procurement & Construction early of August 2018.

Tai Zhi Kang obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) International Business Class of 2015 from Faculty of Business. He’s now the Founder of FITGEAR and OXWHITE – two lifestyle clothing brands, He built a strong foundation for his successful million dollar companies, with over 21,000 customers worldwide.

FITGEAR – An outdoor and lifestyle brand which strive to design and produce world-class quality, lightweight outdoor gears for everyone at an affordable price. The business started with a RM3,000 (US$700) self-funded capital and growing to RM3mil (US$600K) sales with 14,000 customers worldwide in just one year.

OXWHITE managed to sell 3,000 shirts within 6 hours on launch day and generate hype thanks to their marketing strategies. Oxwhite, went on to amass an incredible following — 21,000 customers and 15,000 shirts sold to date.

The years of hardship being a young entrepreneur are certainly paying off, and it is his wish to continue to grow through immersing himself in the world of entrepreneurship and startups.

Lt. Colonel (CD) Professor Ts. Dr. Norazah Mohd Suki, graduated with Master of Philosophy (Management) Class of 2002 and she is a Professor of Marketing and E-Commerce at Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia.

She strives in the academic field with various achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. She is the recipient of Malaysia’s Research Star Award 2018, Highly Commended Paper in the 2015 and the 2017 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence, Winners of the IGI Global Seventh Annual Awards Excellence in Research Journal, etc. She’s also the recipient of Anugerah Tokoh Penyelidik 2015 UMS (Social Sciences). Her research interests include marketing research, consumer behaviour, M-commerce, E-commerce, E-marketing, green marketing, Islamic marketing, and areas related to marketing.

Mohd Ghazzali Abu Bakar graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Honours) (Film and Animation) in 2001. He is the Director and Founder of The Media Hustler Sdn. Bhd., a company that specialises in music video, telefilm, TV series and post production services.

He has directed music videos for numerous popular artists, including Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Anuar Zain, Hafiz, Stacy, Shila Amzah, Alyah, Meet Uncle Hussain and Nitrous. Between 2011 and 2015, he directed several movies, including Cicakman, Suamiku Ustaz, Tokan and Hantu Kapcai. His biggest achievement is Polis Evo, an action movie that had grossed RM17.74 million, the highest among the local movies in 2015.

Ericsson Research in Stockholm, Swed

Imadur Rahman, from Bangladesh completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Telecommunications in the year 2001. Securing a Nokia scholarship, Imadur completed his Masters degree in Radio Communications in 2003 at Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. With another scholarship award by Samsung, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Wireless Communication at Aalborg University, Denmark in 2007. After a short stint in Aalborg University as an Assistant Research Professor and external researcher in Nokia Siemens Networks, he joined Ericsson Research in 2008. He is currently a Senior Researcher in Radio Access Technology at Ericsson Research in Stockholm, Sweden. He is part of the concept development team that is working towards 5G wireless system concepts.

Noor Helmi Nong Hadzmi

Noor Helmi Nong Hadzmi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering (2003). He is the Founder of IX Telecom, a communications technology company, one of the top MSC status companies.

Upon graduation Helmi worked at a start-up Telco Company, assisting in managing and operating Telco’s communication network while simultaneously pursuing his Master in Telecommunication Engineering at MMU. He then moved to another start-up airline company, Air Asia, where he built the company’s network and communication infrastructure. He founded IX Group of Companies with his MMU friends, leveraging on the combined knowledge grained in his degrees and experiences of managing a sport club as well as with start-up companies. IX Telecom is now globally known among telecommunications companies and IX Global Services, has service coverage in more than 200 countries worldwide.

Mohd Nizam Abd Razak graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons.) (Film and Animation). Nizam is the Managing Director (Founder) of Animonsta Studios Sdn. Bhd., an animation content developer, specialising in feature films, TV series, merchandising and other related products in the intellectual property business.

The popular BoBoiBoy animated series in 2011 brought Nizam fame and international recognition. In the first year of its production, BoBoiBoy was broadcasted over the Disney Channel Asia, NTV7 as well as TV3. To date, the BoBoiBoy TV Animated series are aired in 44 countries in South East Asia. In March 2016, BoBoiBoy: The Movie, was premiered in theatres, and earned a gross RM16
million at the box-office. He is currently collaborating with TOMY Company Ltd., a Tokyo based renowned company for children’s merchandise and entertainment in Tokyo to produce a new preschool animated series, which is featured in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Zulakmar Hazwan graduated with a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering (Hons) majoring in Microwave and Communication in 2006. He now runs a company that provides technology engineering services.

In 2010, Zulakmar established InnoCrest as an engineering consultancy business. He introduced Working Knowledge Group for Telecommunication Engineers (WKG) in 2014 and helped Malaysian chartered engineers build their career path and share experience among the members. In 2016, he introduced Creztinno Technophiles to expand the InnoCrest’s scope of operation to offer business consultancy in the aspects of telecommunication. He finds that it is very important for him to have both knowledge and skills in engineering and business administration.

He says the additional exposure to entrepreneurship and management at MMU has taught him how to operate a corporation. Life in MMU developed his leadership and communication skills that helped him to become a technoprenuer.

Nicholas Kow obtained his Bachelor of Law (Hons.) degree in 2008. He is an advocate and solicitor at a law firm he founded. Upon graduation, he chambered at Messrs Ghazi & Lim in Penang, a prestigious law firm, which retained him as an Associate at the firm in the Dispute Resolution Department.

He was then offered a place at renowned T.C. Beirne Law School at the Univesrsity of Queensland, a top 100 World Ranking university of Queensland for his Master of Law degree. His love for Intellectual Property Law made him the sole achiever of a High Distinction in the area of Intellectual Property Law. He obtained a Distinction in the areas Civil Litigation, Mediation and Expert Evidence, respectively.

Nicholas Kow’s area of practice focuses primarily in general litigation, coupled with a variety of other areas including disputes arising under sale of goods, partnerships, company law, commercial law, contract law, medical negligence, intellectual property, construction, bankruptcy and agency law.

Eddy Chong Siong Choy completwd hIs academic cycle in MMU – Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons,) (Management with Multimedia) in 2000, Master of Philosophy (Management) in 2001 and Ph.D. in Management in 2005. Eddy has been the Director of Accreditation at the Finance Accreditation Agency Malaysia since January 2013. Prior to this, he was a Professor and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Research at Linton University College.

Being an academic, Eddy actively participated in research and collaborations. He has published international refereed journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. He is also an Editorial Board member of several refereed journals and has been serving as a Programmme Committee member for several international conferences. Eddy has been serving the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) as a panel member since 2009. He was recently appointed to chair the Panel of Experts for the development of minimum standards for Business Studies programmes and a panel for admission through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
