On June 25, 2024, Multimedia University (MMU) and Infineon Technologies Sdn. Bhd. deepened their collaboration with a Career Talk featuring MMU alumni, signaling the start of Infineon Week 2024 at MMU Melaka. This initiative aims to connect Infineon Melaka with students, fostering awareness of career opportunities within the company.
During the event, two MMU alumni who now work at Infineon’s MAL Factory Integration division participated, underscoring the students’ keen interest in the company and its industry namely Ms. Lee Wan Lin, the Staff Specialist, our Permata Dunia, FOB (2011) and Mr. Tan Chee Chiang, the Senior Director of IT (Head of Melaka IT Department), FCI (2001).The primary message conveyed to students was the importance of university as a place to cultivate the skills necessary for continuous learning and the development of soft skills essential for professional success post-graduation.
The event culminated in a relaxed tea talk session where engineering and IT students engaged directly with Infineon colleagues. This informal setting allowed students to gain insights into career paths, industry challenges, and practical advice from experienced professionals eager to share their journeys and expertise.
