On 19 October 2024, the Centre for Alumni at Multimedia University (MMU) hosted a distinguished Appreciation Hi-Tea event, celebrating the invaluable contributions of the Permata Dunia alumni and industry partners. This gathering aimed to express heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support and commitment to the university’s mission and goals.
The event was graced by the presence of notable guests, including Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi, MMU Chancellor, and YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President of MMU. Their participation showed the importance of alumni engagement and the university’s dedication to build connections with its community.
During the Appreciation Hi-Tea, a series of awards were presented to distinguished alumni in recognition of their exceptional achievements and significant contributions to their respective fields. Among the recipients were prominent figures such as Dato’ Nicolas Kow Eng Chuan and Dato’ Radzi Mansor, Prof. Dr. Andrew Samraj and Dr. Kasuma Satria Mat Jadi. Other awardees included Dr. Ruzaimi Md Rani, Ts. Azril Hanafi Abdullah Sharwani, Abdul Khaliq Abu Hassan Shaari, Adam Zainalabidin, Adnan Mohd Shukor, Amirr Shahlen Izzal Parameswara, Azhar Amirulhisyam Jamaludin, Chang Quan Yan, Cheng Zhang Yi, Fariz Hamdi Mohd Nor, Jimmy Yeap Thye Liang, Juhaidah Jeomin, Khairil Effendy Ahmad Dhman Huri, and Ko Chuan Zhen.
In addition to these accolades, the Permata Dunia Special Award was presented to Ts. Noor Mohd Helmi Nong Hadzmi and Ts. Tan Aik Keong. This special recognition highlighted their exceptional contributions to the institution, reflecting the university’s appreciation for the dedication and service of its community members. The awards were personally presented by Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi, further emphasizing the significance of the occasion.
