IET United Kingdom Elects Prof. Dr. Ir. Wong as Fellow
On 4th January, Prof. Dr. Ir. Wong Hin Yong, our Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) United Kingdom - one of the world's largest engineering institutions, having been founded in 1871, with over 16700 members in 150 countries.
He is one of the youngest member to have ever been recognised by the institution, itself a bastion of engineering standards overseeing an increasingly intertwined global industry from its offices in Savoy Place as well as the Michael Faraday House in Stevenage, UK. Prof. Wong's fellowship, along with those of other recipients, were published in the UK daily, The Guardian, in April 2017.
To date, only approximately 5% of IET's members worldwide have achieved the grade of Fellow. The IET Fellowship is rewarded to individuals who have sustained high levels of achievement, displaying sufficient leadership, influence, senior responsibility, innovation and professional service, while pushing the envelope of the engineering field.
Please join us in congratulating Prof. Wong on his achievement.
