Centre For Alumni Hosts Alumni Vibes “Hacking Your Life Direction” Talk

Centre for Alumni (CfA) enlightens future graduates with the ever-important subject of future career prospects with the talk entitled “Hacking Your Life Direction” on the 24th of March 2021. Co-organised with the MMU Alumni Society, two Permata Dunia were invited to be speakers for the event – Mr Dinesh Ganisan and Mr Justin Wong. Mr Dinesh graduated from the Faculty of Business (FOB) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, class of 2017 and Mr Justin Wong is a graduate of the Faculty of Management (FOM), class of 2021. The session was moderated by Ms. Wan Izyan A’qila, who is also a recently graduated Permata Dunia from the Faculty of Business. The event was attended by over 400 people when it was live and the number has increased to 1100 viewers as of today.

 

Throughout the one hour session, the guest speakers discussed trending topics about how to manage future career prospects through adaptability, reaching out for opportunities, and developing a positive attitude with regard to challenges. A speech from Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, the Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development was also featured during the event which highlights the importance of alumni contribution to the YUM foundation to fund underprivileged students. The speakers also offered advice on how one can overcome these challenges through the skills they have learnt throughout their careers through the Q&A session held in the live-stream event.
