Inspiring Alumni Shared Insights on Social Media Branding
On 24 September 2020, our two successful Permata Dunia namely Ms. Eyqa Sulaiman and Mr. Adha Izhan were invited to share some insights on how social media branding impacts businesses. Ms. Eyqa or Nur Atiqah Sulaiman has a degree in Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) (Multimedia Technology Management) from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, class of 2010, and a Diploma in Information Technology, class of 2007.On the other hand, Mr. Adha Izhan has a degree in Bachelor of Multimedia (Honours) (Media Innovation) from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, class of 2013. The talk was streamed live through Facebook and Instagram in Cyberjaya. Moderated by Ms. Sophiya Rose Elena, a student from Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC), the event managed to attract 850 viewers during the live session but has increased to 1,500 viewers a week later.
As a founder of Sugarcraft, Ms. Eyqa shared her experience of managing her business through online campaigns. Meanwhile, Mr. AdhaIzhan, a founder of Madre emphasised that finding and solving a problem is important in order to start a business. The event was organised by Centre for Alumni (CfA) and aimed to motivate students and alumni to utilise social media as the tools to support business especially during COVID-19 pandemic period.
