Brainy Bones Studios animated short film Kring!on a teacher and a student named Mael who has a learning disability, has bagged another award as Best Animated Film for Kids in the ReAnima Festivals at Norway. This is another award for the Director of the short film, our Permata Dunia Mr. Hilmi Ismail who is also the Co-Founder & Managing Director at Brainy Bones Studios Sdn Bhd.
Mr. Hilmi graduated with Bachelor of Multimedia (hons) in Film & Animation, class of 2014. He wishes to highlight the challenges teachers face as well as their perseverance and relentless commitment. With pure intention such as this, Kring! has won a series of awards locally and internationally, which are seven in total, since being uploaded on YouTube in July 2019.
The list of awards are the Intellectual Property Creator Challenge 2018, Next Generation Winner Award at the 21st DigiCon6 Asia Awards 2019, the Best Animation Short at the Fourth International Film Festival On Disabilities 2020, the Official Selection Award at the Animation Marathon 2019, Mi Primer Festival 2020, Cinelebu International Film Festival 2020, and MAAC-24FPS International Animation Awards 2019.
It is an inspirational story of a short film journey. Mr. Hilmi has demonstrated that he is truly and literally our gem of the world – MMU Permata Dunia!
