Another warmest congratulations to our Permata Dunia Mr. Mohd Fairuz Sulaiman from Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) for being featured by The Star e-news entitled “Sekolah Main Wayang champions storytelling as an accessible cultural activity”.
Short scenes with wayang puppets improvisation were displayed during the Sekolah Main Wayang workshop in the Temuan village of Kampung Ulu Batu in Gombak. “When the eyes light up, it is well worth the half an hour you just spent fiddling with the puppet,” Mr. Fairuz adds in reference to this program, which attempts to provide young people the abilities for imaginative storytelling. This brilliant notion of fusing technology and tradition has been hosting classes focused on multimedia since 2015.
We at CfA are really pleased of Mr. Fairuz for introducing technology to a rural village that may not have been receptive to it.
